You know … the pro tour has started playing in Hawaii in January and you won’t see the grass in Pittsburgh for another 3 months … but you sure would like to start swinging.  Or has your regular foursome had a spring outing planned, but the Pittsburgh weather didn’t cooperate and it rained for a week straight?  Well, at Golf Augusta Pro Shops you can play year-round in any weather!

Golf Augusta Pro Shops has 2 Full Swing Golf Simulators that are used all year for Indoor Golf.  This “virtual reality” experience is the most realistic way to play golf short of being out on the course!  And you can play during the week or on the weekend, daytime or after dark, whenever your schedule allows.  These golf simulators provide superior graphics that make your indoor golf round seem just like you are out on the links.  Fairways and greens are so detailed that you can see the cross cut patterns from the morning grass cutting!  Trees, bunkers, and hazards all come into play.  You get to play all the clubs in your bag, from the big drive to the pitch and putt short game.  It’s even better than the real thing with camera angles that allow you to see the “top view” and “landing area” for all of your shots, and replay options to see those great shots from several angles!

If you’re looking for variety, the Full Swing Golf Simulators have software to support many playing formats, including Stroke play, Match play, Best Ball, Nassau , Scramble, Skins and many other favorites.  Tee times are taken by the hour, and you can play on your own, as a twosome, or with your regular foursome.  Or up to eight golfers can play team formats on each simulator. With over 30 courses to choose from, and lots of options for course conditions (such as wind speed, green hardness and speed), you can play all year and never repeat!

2009/2010 - On-Line, Worldwide Tournaments

How would you like to test your game against golfers from all around the world? Now you can right here at Golf Augusta Pro Shops in Oakmont, PA! We are part of Full Swing Golf's worldwide network connected via the Internet. Once you register as an on-line player, when you come in to play you can select a tournament from anywhere in the world and participate with real-time leader board updates! Even if you are playing on your own, you can feel the "pressure" of competition and enjoy seeing how you stand compared to players thousands of miles away.

Full Swing Golf has organized an on-line Tour with 10 different courses being played throughout the Fall and Winter. The fall tournament plays from October through December, and the Winter Tour starts play in January 2010. You can play them all, or just pick the courses you'd like to play. They've organized it so that there are F$G (Full Swing Dollars) available for each event. The dollars are not real, but are being used like the PGA Tour to measure your play against the other golfers, and there will be a Tour leader board to see how everyone stands during and at the end of the 10-week season. For anyone that enjoys a little competitive golf, this should be great way to keep your game in shape over the winter months! And the good news is that there is no additional charge for joining the Tour, just the normal fee for using the simulator on an hourly basis.

Golf Augusta Pro Shops will organize several on-line tournaments that will be proprietary to our shop, which means that participation will be limited to golfers right here in Oakmont, but results will be available from any computer anywhere in the world.
